Sublimis: the world seen beneath
the surface

Art and Science

2015 Milano La Triennale

A Special support by Ryuichi Sakamoto with “Shizen No Koe”

My opinion is that one of the roles
of art is to connect us to Nature again
and to remind us about the fact that
we humans are part of Nature.

Ryuichi Sakamoto

"Water is a moment of suspension,
a suspension between ancestral dualisms,
light and darkness, visible and invisible,
in the flow of this eternal movement
that is life."

Giuseppe La Spada

The Voice of Nature, and Water in particular have preserved their rhythm and balance for millennia. Mankind domineers Nature, abusing and violating their original flow. Lately, the voice of Water ceased to be a silent harmony and has triggered disrupting and violent events in the Far East. We cannot ignore events that exert irreversible changes on our survival.

"Sublimis (which has already materialised in the form of an exhibition at Triennale di Milano) brings together photography, sculptures, videos, multimedia installations, feelings, emotions and science. A broad (light) spectrum observation that aims at shedding some light – at times even showing obstinacy and urgency – on the state of our planet and the way it seeks to communicate with us." vogue.it
