“Simply” water, always the same, always different.

Mi affascina l'idea che l'acqua pur se differente nella sua rappresentazione estetica, stadio o composizione, ora acqua dolce ora mare, sia sempre la stessa cosa. Una entità mistica e sconosciuta, la cui forma muta nello spazio e nel tempo. Non ci chiediamo mai nulla quando la beviamo o quando la osserviamo, eppure è la più importante relazione della nostra vita.

I am fascinated by the idea that water, although different in its aesthetic representation, state or composition, sometimes fresh water, sometimes sea water, is always the same thing. A mystical and unknown entity, whose form changes in space and time. We never ask ourselves anything when we drink it or observe it, yet it is the most important relationship in our lives.

Credo esistano delle immagini 'prime' che ci condizionano per sempre. Sicuramente il fatto di essere nato in un posto di mare mi ha dato la possibilità di confrontarmi presto con questa grande massa blu, anche solo per l’impatto visivo, poi il legame è diventato pian piano da estetico a mistico.

Il mare per noi occidentaliè un elemento di grande confronto al fine di staccare lo sguardo dal mondo antropizzato e ambire a dimensioni più alte.
Ho subìto sempre la fascinazione di questo elemento, perfino di una semplice goccia, perché niente come l’acqua può spiegare tutto della nostra esistenza.



I believe there are “primordial” images that influence us forever. Being born in a seaside town certainly gave me the opportunit to encounter this vast blue expanse at an early age, even if only for its visual impact, and then the connection gradually shifted from the aesthetic to the mystical.

For us Westerners, the sea is an element of great comparison, allowing us to take our eyes off the anthropised world and aspire to higher dimensions.
I have always been fascinated by this element, even by a simple drop, because nothing like water can explain everything about our existence.
